Who We Are
Rufus Roberts
Rufus Roberts, a passionate mathematician, embarked on his academic journey at The University of Liverpool, where he immersed himself in the dynamic fusion of mathematics and street entertainment through the innovative Maths Busking project.

Venturing beyond university, Rufus took the stage, delivering captivating workshops in schools and for the esteemed Royal Institution of Great Britain. Post-graduation, he took charge of a branch within the Mad Science franchise, a pivotal moment when he realized the potential to seamlessly blend interactive mathematics with the engaging format of afterschool clubs.

Rufus's commitment to sharing the magic of mathematics transcends borders. A standout experience in his career includes leading a summer camp for Syrian refugees in Akkar, Lebanon, showcasing the universal appeal and importance of mathematical exploration.

In Rufus's philosophy, mathematics isn't just a subject to be drilled but a captivating investigation waiting to be explored. This belief has been the driving force behind his work as a full-time tutor since 2021, where he imparts his wisdom to students spanning from primary to A-level. His approach goes beyond conventional teaching, aiming to kindle a genuine understanding and love for mathematics in each student he guides.

Barbara Pellegrino
Barbara's journey in education has been fueled by an enduring passion for teaching that dates back as far as she can recall. Armed with a degree in physics from the University of Nottingham, Barbara's commitment to excellence was recognized when she received a prestigious scholarship from the Institute of Mathematics, paving the way for her to become a distinguished secondary maths teacher. During her training, Barbara delved deeply into the intricacies of the school mathematics curriculum, laying the foundation for her future endeavors.

Since 2018, Barbara has dedicated herself to full-time private tutoring, guiding students from primary to A-level in achieving their academic aspirations. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the firm belief that anyone can learn to think like a mathematician. Barbara's lessons are characterized by an informal atmosphere, carefully curated to help even the most apprehensive students relax and savor the joy of learning.
